“Chula Vista Electric has been a valued partner to us for more than 20 years, addressing all our electrical needs, from large projects involving trenching, conduiting and permitting to troubleshooting a single detail in our fiber optics network. We know we’ll always receive the same quality, timely service.”

Randy Rosa

“Thank you to all of your people who worked so hard to get our electricity back on. I watched as they worked replacing pipes and wires and working on the weekend to get that section of the mobile park brought up to code so we won’t have the constant outages. I really appreciate their efforts.”—

Mrs. Ira Lowe

Safety is always job number 1!

Attention to detail, continuing safety education, and stringent compliance to worksite safety policies and procedures are standard at Chula Vista Electric. Our staff strives daily to maintain and implement our safety programs while continually looking for new and innovative ways to keep the jobsite a safe and healthy environment.

Chula Vista Electric will always go the extra mile to ensure our employees have a safe and healthy workplace. In conjunction with a third-party safety group, we routinely educate and train employees on safety procedures and enforce jobsite safety policies. Every employee is required to complete 18 hours of continuing education in this area every year.

Our supervisors are committed to ensuring safe working conditions for all employees operating in and out of danger zones. Site-specific safety plans exist to ensure we’re providing a safe working environment, superior quality and productive services. To support those goals, we have a number of activities in place:

Random jobsite audits

  • On a weekly basis, personnel from SMART Safety conduct safety audits at our jobsites, being on site with employees so they can witness their typical behavior and check for any policy violations.

Monthly foremen’s meetings

  • SMART Safety personnel meet with our foremen and members of the management team to discuss end-of-the-month reports that cover audits, incidents, disciplinary and training needs, and company policies.

Safety business meetings

  • Our Safety Business committee meets regularly, at least quarterly.

Claims management/quarterly claims reviews

Safety training/policy development

  • Accident prevention is considered of primary importance in all phases of company operation and administration.
  • The company’s intention is to provide safe and healthy work conditions through the establishment of an Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) . At Chula Vista Electric, we do everything we can to reflect our commitment to the highest safety and health standards…since nothing is more important than the health and safety of our outstanding employees.
